self deception

recently received my midterm scores

guess i did alright thou i felt i could've done better

wat i find most ridiculous is e mean score

for my macroeconomics module, e mean score's 11

dat's after a 5 marks adjustment

and e full mark's 30 =..=

which means, w/o e adjustment e mean score wld have been a pathetic single-digit 6marks LOL



juz met up with HY for dinner

i'm so totally humiliated, i cant believe i did sth so stupid

anyway after dinner we went queenway cos HY looking for sports bra

i came across dis cute adidas short jacket (u noe, those dat ends juz above ur navel) which is reasonably priced at $49 so i tot it's a pretty good buy

esp when i have a thing for short jackets so i was quite excited abt it

i tried it on and sashayed ard e store feeling extremely pleased with myself

HY tot e jacket looked great too, e way it's so fitting n snug

i decided to get e jacket (evil HY tempted me) so i asked e sales staff for a new piece

den she emerged with a humongous jacket (compared to e one i juz tried on)

turned out to be e jacket is frm e kid's range =..=

i actually squeezed into a kid's S size (prob those for toddlers or lower pri kids) happily assuming it's a short jacket arghhh

e 'humongous' jacket is actually e largest kid's size they have, and it supposed to fit like a normal length jacket

argghhh i knew sth's wrong e way e sleeves felt exceptionally tight

dis is wat i call self deception sighh

and HY egged me on to buy e jacket, claiming dat wearing an undersized kid's jacket as a short jacket is a form of self expression =..=

'tryin too hard' might be a better description lol

it's okay to wear kids clothes if they fit, but it's juz plain weird to wear kids clothes dat doesnt fit n pretend it's sth else!

i suspect it's a conspiracy (btw HY n e sales staff) to make me spend $$ LOL
