i'm still very much alive living and kicking.
my lack of post is not in any way related to my previous post (i suspect some over-imaginative friends might associate the 2 events together and assume that i ranaway from hm or got taken away after attempting to murder my mom)
actually my mom annoys me on a daily basis. just that i have been pretty good pretending we speak 2 different languages, so whatever she says, I am not suppose to understand.
In Babel they said God created different languages to create barriers between mankind so as to punish them.
In my case, it's a godsend :P
hmm i think i'm getting off-topic here. recently i have e tendency to do so. the weird things that age does to you :P
anyway, i'm feeling kinda down recently, lost enthusisam for everything, hence e lack of posts.

it's the exams. DUH.
sigh. exams literally suck the energy outta me. it makes me emotional. i'm constantly hungry. the littlest thing triggers me.
No i am not pregnant.
so i have been hiding in the mountains, cut off from the civilisation, tryin to come to terms with my notes

ok i confess this is a filler entry to ensure readers *if any* that my blog is not dead, yet. actually i dun have much to blog abt. given my current exciting too fast n too furious lifestyle.

my favorite fren~ HY~ she gave me a generous treat at Taos for *a-reason-i-am-not-suppose-to-mention*. we had the 7 course dinner, starting off with e mango sorbet n bacon nd mushroom gratin with bread
ermm. i appreciate the restaurant's effort at providing good service. but when the staff's too enthusiastic n chatty, it feels like an intrusion of privacy. it's tiring having to entertain their constant quiries and jokes that werent very funny. still, effort appreciated. but please, mellow it down.
cold dish: HY's wasabi-mayo dipped prawn salad. hmm she doesnt like it, esp the prawn tempura cos the batter's not crunchy. ermm but you cant expect cold tempura to be crunchy and crispy rite. at least it's not soggy :P
my hui san salad. said to be healthy. it tastes healthy too. which tranlates into being tasteless :D

we exchanged our bowls then immediately decided that we preferred what we individually ordered, so we swapped back again LOL
grilled mushroom. i like this too. althou the salad n sorbet were quite disappointing, but the soup n grilled mushroom lifted our hopes again :D
finally~ our mains~
i ordered the lamb cutlet which was recommended. soft n juicy, quite satisfying :D
wahaha i love dis pic man. HY looked so cuteeeeeeee. head veryyyy biggggggggg LOL (it's the camera angle seriously. her head is prob 3/4 my size in real life haha. there was once we went to e salon together and the hairstylist had cruelly pointed this out grrrr. what's wrong with having a big head huh huh huh ?? doraemon making big bucks okayyyyyz)
HY's ribs was even better. fat, but tasty.
our tea. i had grapefruit mallow tea while HY ordered the rose apple tea.
i have never liked fruit tea or floral tea, cos they taste weird n artificial to me :P but i have nth to complain abt these 2, thou i still prefer my boring cheapskate lipton LOL
desserts~ we're both bursting by then. the servings were small for each dish, but like what they say about *there no need for China to go to war with Taiwan bcos* each China chinese spits a mouthful at Taiwan and it'd be enough to drown e whole of Taiwan (i know, it's a weird analogy. btw my response to PRC who tells me that: China would collapse from overpopulation b4 Taiwan cld drown :P)
anyway, the point being, 7 small servings make a filling substantial meal!
it's 28.80++ per person for dinner.
19.90++ for lunch, but you dont get e mango sorbet n grilled mushroom.
hmm. personally i feel that lunch's a betta deal. maybe sans the harassment frm the staff i would have like the dinner enough to feel that it's worth the price. hur hur.

ohhhh. many superheros out in e cinema to grab our money. cant wait for exams to be over!
