Final Post on HCM *heaves a sigh of relief*

*still recovering frm the trauma of losing past blog pics*

sigh. i contemplated if i shd re-load all my photos and painstakingly replace all the photo-links in my past posts

but that'd make me look like a no-lifer, to spend a Sat night fussing over pics that nobody looks at anyway

*pretends to be out in Zouk clubbing the night away when in actual fact she's glued to the TV watching not-so-interesting Sat movies on channel 8, two in a row*

ok, now i'm done imaging i spent the night clubbing instead of watching no-brainer chinese movies on free-to-air TV, i shall resume with my HCM posts, to close this chapter once and for all so I can move on to blog abt my next trip :D

HCM Last Day 1 Jan 09

duong has patriotic neighbours

it's new year. that explained the flags. duh

we woke up pretty early, though it was a public holi. it's our last day in Vietnam, so we wanted to make the most out of it :P

another of duong's favourite breakfast place. it's like the fancier version of 'chi cheong fen' that you eat with vietnamese luncheon meat, fish sauce etc

after breakfast, we wanted to get vietnamese kopi coffee powder, so duong brought us to......

trung nguyen! (urgh, can anyone tell me how to pronounce this?!?!)

i bought some coffee powder and the metal filter thingy (Trung Nguyen called it 'My-Kap' on their webbie) so i cld make my own drip coffee at hm

but...with my lack of patience and tendency to forget its presence while waiting for the dripping to stop....soon after i reverted to instant nescafe mix :D

in fact 2 packets of coffee powder are still untouched in its air-tight packaging...one of them is the famous civet cat coffee (ie 猫大便咖啡)! Hope the air-tight packaging lives up to its name and do keep the powder fresh!

one fine day...when i quit being so lethargic...i shall try the 猫大便咖啡!

anyway, we basically lazed ard in the cafe till it's time to go
