full of myself

WARNING: THIS IS NOT A COOKING INSTRUCTION SITE!

hohoho thurs has been a fulfillin day for me

i made my first ever CHEESECAKE!!!

stumbled upon dis 'satisfy all ur baking needs' shop at JE (doubt if dat's e shopname, some kinda slogan ba lol)

was feelin bored so tot maybe i shd try makin a cake (they act sell ingredients + equipments for making mooncakes too, how neat is DAT hah)

well i cant bake cos i dun have an oven, so i went to e lib n found a recipe on nonbaked cheesecakes

there're actually a few varieties, but most r too fancy (ie complicated) for me to digest (both e instructions n e end product lol) so i settled on this:

CONCOCT UR OWN PERSONALLY FLAVORED NONBAKED CHEESECAKES

e recipe is for e cheese part, as for e flavor it's up to ur own imagination

how cool is DAT? durian cheesecake, anyone? haha

anyway it's not difficult to guess wat flavored fillin i chose.....

CHOCOLATE!!!

i'm lazy so i shall flood my blog w pics n let them do e explainin again haha

e main ingredient : cream cheese~
i wanna get e low fat one(if there's any :P) but apparantly there's only one option available in e shop, dis is wat economic student (= me) refer to as monopolistic behaviour lol

e set-up,
wah liew i spent 1h cleanin e blender loh, it had been stashed away for SOOOO LONGGGG it's gettin rusty, i even sterilized it with boiling water, how thoughtful of me :P

the sacred recipe

making e crust, digestive biscuit + peanuts

melting e choc using microwave, i luv technology

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
blending e ingredients for e filling - lemon juice(?!)+cream cheese+condensed sweentened milk+choc+nuts+flavoring

wat u see is actually an ultra summarized n condensed description of e procedures

while i was makin e fillin i was so flustered n stressed out dat i bo mood take pics lol

my blender is too old n frail n blunt to handle e mass of ingredients so i have to divide them into portions n process them separately

sibei tedious loh

sigh i tried my best liao but e mixture still not very well blended, there're still tiny bits of cream cheese + nuts floating around

i decided they shall stay to add some 'texture' lol

n while spreadin e filling i'm dripping choc everywhere + constantly licking e choc off e spatula, i had so much choc dat day i tink i'm developin a chocophobia lol

garnished with hersey's choc syrup lol

haha den on thurs nite i was buggin ppl around me to try e cake

but i forbade my mom frm having any cos it's too unhealthy for e aged ahaha:P

all ingredients used are FULL CREAM, one WHOLE can of condensed sweentened milk was added, butter not margarine was used *shudders* i cringe on recallin wat's in e cake lol

happy~~

n dat little piece is all i'm gonna have, e rest shall be fed to unfortunate clueless souls dat have no idea wat's in e cake :D

HY has requested for a piece

now dat she's not so clueless since she's such a blog-prowler n perpetually obsessed with my life i'm sure she'd have read dis entry

if she's reading it now her cursor is prob fleeing to e upper RH corner for e 'X' button while a horrified HY punches my no. frantically on her hp to tell me she has changed her mind

to save her 20c of makin a call, i'm gonna announce here all i have to say:

YOU ASKED FOR IT

muahahahahaha

my mum's gonna bring half e cake to her work place n her colleagues can get fat together :D how nice.

hee gonna make another one soon for a fren's bday, dis time round wld use less fattening substitutes :P

i wan a new blender, any kind soul wanna get it for me as MidAutumn prez? LOL
