but i end up buying more ingredients to bake with e flour
it's a never-ending cycle u know
anyway, i found a recipe on wholemeal muffins (thou it looks like scones to me)
and it looks simple enough, so i thought it's a golden opportunity for me to get rid of my wholemeal flour!

mixing the ingredients. i have to let the mixture rest for 5 min so the yeast could act on it.

cheng doesnt want english

back to work.

now i have to let it rest for another 10min

cheng is very tempted. *agonizes for 10 min*

now a final 30min wait time
*cheng decides to take a nap and hopefully dreams of KFC*

okayz. the nap obviously overshot 30 min. the dough had over-rised. hey i dreamt i got a family meal. u dun expect me to finish dat in 30 min right?!

it's a non-bake recipe. i'm quite skeptical if the center portion would be cooked

looks promising. reminds me of Guo-Tie muahaha.

hmmm. i betta toast the center. the recipe said so too =..=

in case you're wondering, with toasting or no toasting; with margarine or no margarine, they're all tasteless =..=

tried eating it with melted chocolate. it's true. healthy food can nv taste good. even chocolate doesnt help
and yes. it looks nth like a muffin *shrugs* sue me.
okay that was pretty disastrous. then this afternoon, while gettin more groceries, i suddenly had an urge to cook myself some curry
THOUGH I HAVE NO IDEA HOW.
i figure all i need is curry powder,

and some common sense.

i roasted the chicken in my little humble oven toaster (which looked like it'd collapse any time from overloading) b4 dumping it in the curry. i figure it'd cook faster this way.
i also figure i'm a pretty smart cook. you know, pretty, smart.
okay, not funny.

what's curry w/o potato?

i think my mom should buy bigger pots
this sounds weird. but i also added cauliflowers. yeah, cheng's into weird food.
cheng's an efficient cook. she believes in multi-tasking. so while she was preparing the curry, she was at the same time baking

my bread machine tucked away in a pathetic corner as there wasnt enough space in the kitchen with e curry cooking

tried a nutella recipe. added tons of sugar n butter. my blood vessel would prob burst tomolo. wohoo~~

not ready yet. back to the curry~~

final step~ adding the coconut milk~~

i added this instead. i need to save some calories for the nutella cake

obviously too much for one meal. guess i'd be eating curry for the next few days..
so how does it taste?

like this.
ehh the suggested powder-to-water ratio is too thick. the gravy's like sucking all the moisture out of me and it's DUPER SPICYYYYYYY.
to make things worse, i forgot to cook rice. =..=
also, for some mysterious reason, the gravy tasted a bit bitter. i suspect it's the cauliflower.
overall the curry tastes a little bland. but the chicken's soft n tender~ i like :P my humble little oven toaster saved the day lol
shall try diluting the gravy n adding some chicken stock tomolo. maybe onions n tomatos wld help?

the nutella cake was fab on the other hand. moist and sweet~
i is tired.
i think i'd just stick to da-baos next time :X
