Bdays quit being fun after 20th (I'm wayyy past that fyi)
it became a day when u question yourself why haven't you done this done that gone here gone there
and u end up feeling like a total loser
that's BEFORE you discover the intensifying fine lines beneath ur eyes *shudders*
i hate my bday
but love these babes :D
the day actually started off bad, everyone was late except me=THE BDAY GIRL
=..= but why aint i surprised LOL
david came too...aint they an entertaining couple? hur hur
we had a good and slow late-afternoon lunch at Crystal Jade Macau~ I like the food there! but din get to try the pork knuckle humph
i'm totally dreading my next bday sighz.

actually we intended to catch The Blossoming of Maximo Oliveros, but reviews weren't exactly fantastic (anyway it's not in cinema anymore), and geeks like us prefer watching anime to gays-in-the-making movies....
so we settled on Paprika
personally i feel that jap animes are better than western ones. hmmm maybe i grow up reading manga hence am biased. but in general jap animes are darker and more complicating than their disney-happy-go-lucky western counterparts. We and our twisted minds LOL
Den we got korean food at Se Ra Bel (Furama Hotel)~
chris the alcoholic, he's practically drinking everyday now LOL
soju. koreans like to drink this with bbq

the spread. we got mixed beef set + pork belly and beef tongue set
some bean paste soup i've been wanting to try. i tot it'd be similar to miso, but this is much saltier. Guess it's meant to be eaten with rice, lots of it LOL
bbq over electric stove instead of charcoal
cheng makes a good housewife :D
overall not a bad dinner, but both of us agreed that the charcoal korean bbq at west coast is better. the latter's more upmarket even though price is comparative.

*Back to Work 23/7 ~ 27/7*
received an unexpected bday prez from a colleague at work...she got me a pink forever-friends mug and Movenpick coffee powder!
was very touched bcos:
1. i din expect her to remember my bday
2. i din expect her to bother getting me a gift
i shall be a nicer colleague and less of a grouch at work! (yesh i bring my grouchy self to work. Someone pls slap me to wake me up :P)

*Visit to Chinatown/Liang Court/the Central 28/7*
i'm so jealous. I want a job that sends me overseas for training too! Humph.
anyway my crappy uni fren Mr L is actually a high-flyer management trainee at this MNC with too much cash to burn
they're sending him to Denmark for 2wks training!
And what do i get? I get sent to Orchard MDIS for 2days training...
i shouldn't be complaining....at least i'm venturing out of the west *sniffs*
ANYWAY, Mr L needs a new luggage and a new camera, hence seeks my professional advice :D
he is obviously disillusional to ask me for help, bcos no matter what he asks, i'd tell him to get whatever he likes LOL. I love giving advices man :D
we first went Chinatown to pick up my passport and visa. Oh did i mention i'd be visiting KL with HY during the National Day weekend? first time we're travelling together~ hope we won't end up catfighting or sth hur hur.
it sux holding taiwanese passport man. i need a visa to go ANYWHERE. and visas arent cheap (Mr L thinks visas are FREE. piangz. Singaporeans. hur hur)
i shd just marry a SG guy and get a SG passport. HDB flat anyone? LOL
after buying his luggage at Chinatown and camera at Audiohouse/Liang Court, we walked over to the Central to kill time. finally decided on Manhattan Fish Market for dinner.
i dun like Fish & Co, so wasn't expecting much frm Manhattan, but the seafood platter for 2 turned out well, which was as a pleasant surprise. Seafood chowder was thick and tasty, i like too!
thanks for the bday treat Mr L! (Grrr my teeth look freaking yellow next to his! we shd do some toothpaste commercial lor, the before and after LOL)
bday feast again with HY tomorrow....i'm in a serious need for a detox >_<
oh btw i'm officially a non-student
my parents were exhilarated.
